Wirrng Wirrng (Queenscliffe Hub) is a multi-use community facility that brings the Queenscliff Library, Queenscliffe Visitor Information Centre and Queenscliffe Historical Museum under one roof. The... new library is light filled with modern furnishing and more areas to study, work or read. The Hub features a flexible auditorium providing space for programs, events, and community groups. The much-loved heritage façade of the library has been preserved and celebrated as part of the design. For the new areas of the Hub, a modern, interactive facade complements the heritage library by reflecting the nearby building and providing uninterrupted views through to the garden at the rear of the building.

The Queenscliffe Maritime Museum has developed since the last Queenscliff lifeboat was offered to the Borough of Queenscliffe for care and display. A committee was formed at a public meeting on March 13.... 1980, to investigate how the lifeboat could be preserved. This led to the formation of the Queenscliffe Lifeboat Preservation Society Incorporated which oversaw the early stages of restoration of the vessel and the establishment of the Maritime museum which opened in 1986 to display the lifeboat. The Museum has since expanded to cover the maritime history of Queenscliff, Southern Port Phillip and Bass Strait. In 1998 the name was changed to the Queenscliffe Maritime Museum to better reflect the ever expanding collection. Over the ensuing years a boatshed has been built to house exhibits and provide workshop space. Artefacts continue to be added to the Collection, donated by individuals, families, collectors and companies.

The Queenscliffe Historical Museum collects, preserves and shares historical information in all facets of life in the Borough of Queenscliffe from Wadawurrung occupation to European settlement in 1838... to the present day for the pleasure and education of local and wider communities. It is an award winning museum and a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers. The Queenscliffe Historical Museum is located within the Queenscliffe Community Hub at 49 – 55 Hesse Street, Queenscliff. The Hub also contains the Library, the Visitor's Centre and public toilets.
