Local Walks

From the churning drama of the Rip to the calm of Queenscliff Harbour, this walk has it all. Hug the foreshore from the Point Lonsdale Rip View Lookout to Dog Beach, then cross over the Bellarine Hwy at... the Marine Discover Centre and swap surf views for serenity on the Bellarine Rail Trail, with Swan Bay glittering to the north all the way into town.

The Point Lonsdale Promenade is a firm local favourite.  A smooth, wide pathway hugging the shoreline, with beach access points along the way and something for every pace, from leisurely strolls to morning... runs and family bike rides.

Starting at the White Lighthouse in Queenscliff, this stunning trail winds through native coastal scrub along Lovers Walk before opening onto the shoreline for the final stretch to Point Lonsdale Lighthouse... - sweeping Bay views, ocean spray and two iconic lighthouses all in one walk.

Winding through coastal Moonah Woodland from the village to the iconic lighthouse, the Point Lonsdale Coastal Trail is one of the area's most scenic and rewarding walks.

For the more adventurous, Lovers Walk meanders through coastal Moonah Woodland along the clifftops above Santa Casa, Narrows and Springs beaches - rugged, scenic and well worth the effort.

The Bellarine Rail Trail stretches from Queenscliff to South Geelong, with the local section hugging the foreshore of Swan Bay, a wetland of international significance and a birdwatcher's paradise

A short, leisurely clifftop stroll from Queenscliff Foreshore Reserve, Thwaites Walk offers panoramic views across Port Phillip Bay to Point Nepean and the Mornington Peninsula, leading up to the iconic... Shortland Bluff lookout - with a section of the Arts Trail showcasing historical landscape artworks along the way
